Marsa Maroc: Increase of the turnover in the first semester

Marsa Maroc records rising indicators in the first half. The company's consolidated turnover reached 1.74 billion DH, up 20% compared to the same period in 2020, according to the results unveiled.

At the end of last June, the port company has achieved a total traffic of 23 MT up 22% year-on-year, including a volume of 4.2 MT achieved by the subsidiary Tangier Alliance, which started its activities in January 2021. Domestic containerized traffic has thus increased by 16% compared to the first half of 2020 to reach a volume of 542 KEVP, while the transshipment container traffic carried out by Tanger Alliance stands at 363 KEVP. As for bulk and conventional traffic, it stands at 13.5 million tons, down 3.5%, due to the decline in grain and coal traffic. The company has also invested DH 125 million over the period against DH 141 million a year earlier.

The consolidated debt amounts to 1.26 billion DH, composed of 2.85 billion DH of financing debts and 1.58 billion DH of cash.
