The turnkey operation project consists of the construction of a horticultural plant with a cold store in a plot and one slaughterhouse in another, in the town of Mpal, near Saint-Louis (Senegal). The project aims at main goal to ensure self-sufficiency in food supply through the implementation of a comprehensive project that allows to offer adequate time, quantity and quality fresh products to the final customer, thus reducing dependence on imports from foreign countries. CENTRAL HORTICULTURE Four rectangular-shaped buildings have been built, with the following measurements (7,525 m² in total):
SLAUGHTERHOUSE The slaughterhouse with a line of slaughter of cattle and small ruminants (sheep and goats), each with a capacity of killing of 10 animals per hour. With service of 8 hours per day and 300 days of work a year, each line of the slaughterhouse has a capacity of slaughter of 24,000 heads per year. The box of sacrifice is pneumatic and is made to carry out the slaughter according to Islamic Ritual (Halal). Installation of cold rooms :
FACILITIES In addition to the General facilities of the buildings (force and lighting, air conditioning, plumbing and sanitation, lightning, firefighting, etc.) a series of special installations were assembled: machinery, refrigeration facilities, steam, compressed air, gas oil, purification of wastewater, centers of transformation, generating sets, scale trucks. Additionally, various means of transportation and maintenance, such as forklifts and refrigerated trucks were delivered. |
